About Us

Delight & Co. is a childcare center in Minot, North Dakota, founded by Marissa Brackett. The center is dedicated to nurturing children from infancy through preschool while fostering a supportive and trusted community for families and staff. Marissa's journey into childcare began in 2020, when she was pregnant with her third child and feeling anxious about balancing time with her growing family. Her path to becoming a childcare provider became clear when two expectant friends expressed a desire for a childcare setting where they could truly know and trust the caregiver. What started as a small home daycare allowed Marissa to care for her own children while helping others, and has since evolved into a mission-driven organization rooted in faith, love, and a deep passion for encouraging healthy relationships. As Marissa navigated the ups and downs of childcare, she recognized that many of the challenges faced as a caregiver stemmed from the lack of support typical in an in-home daycare setting.

In mid-2023, Marissa’s journey took a new direction when she became the Early Childhood Coordinator at The Pursuit Church. By 2024, she stepped into the role of Kids Director, began leadership courses at Liberty University, and continued building meaningful relationships with the incredible staff and volunteers at both the church and daycare. As Marissa’s responsibilities at the church grew, she considered closing the daycare. However, an unexpected event revealed the unique trust and support system within her small daycare community, thanks to her amazing staff and dedicated parents, encouraging her to keep going.

These experiences deepened her understanding of ministry and leadership, inspiring a new vision: when everyone—children, parents, and caregivers—receives the proper support and encouragement, entire families are empowered to grow in every area of life—individually, relationally, professionally, and spiritually - allowing families to truly delight in their lives and in one another.

This vision became the heart of Delight & Co., shaping an environment where children, parents, and staff can flourish, feel valued, and find purpose. It’s a place where faith, love, and personal development intersect to create lasting, meaningful, and supportive connections within the community.

By September 2024, it became clear that expansion was the only way to provide the level of support Marissa envisioned. In just 2.5 months, Marissa’s in-home daycare transitioned from embracing the call to expand to preparing a new location—one already familiar to the community. This rapid progression was a powerful testament to faith in action, demonstrating how God’s plans can unfold swiftly and with purpose.
